2-Day Workshop for Yoga Instructors, Yoga Therapists, and Health Professionals:
Learn how to incorporate evidence-based, trauma- sensitive yoga techniques into your clinical practice to promote healing from combat stress, PTSD, anxiety, and related autonomic nervous system disorders. Designed especially for OTs, other allied health & mental health professionals, and yoga therapists.
This is an approved continuing education course for several professions; please inquire for details. A detailed 133-page manual is included in the tuition!
We will start the day with an outdoor (under a pavilion) 90 minute yoga class. Then we will break for lunch until 12:30pm when we will join with the Naturalist for a guided tour of the 300 acre lake, where we will see the eagles nest and other features of this beautiful park. You are free to stay after the program to hike the 550 acres that surround the lake.
Join Kathy and Abbie as they guide you through practices in a quiet setting with the intention to stop and listen to the inner whispers of the heart. This day will include guided meditations, gentle and restorative yoga to calm the nervous system and enter the heart, and a guided creative drawing and painting experience.

In this weekend we will step away from day-to-day stresses and schedules and refresh ourselves to prepare for spring growth! You will come home with a renewed sense of self care and practices to support your intention to stay in tune with yourself and the life style choices that support you.
During this weekend we will enjoy: 3 Hatha Yoga practices, meditation, a Feng Shui Workshop, walking/Hiking in Catoctin State Park, a Yin Yoga practice and more.
